Slower, bigger balls on a smaller court. Children learn to track the ball, move and rally, and build confidence quickly.
Every great player started as a child holding a racket that felt too big, chasing a ball that bounced too high.
At the Ferrero Tennis Academy, where two world No. 1s were developed, we know the first years shape everything that comes after. That’s why we created Golden Ball Minis: a week where young players fall in love with tennis, build real skills and go home proud of what they did.
At this age, children learn best through play. Every session is built around games, challenges and movement, so kids are too busy having fun to notice how much they’re improving. Our coaches use the same ideas as the Academy in Villena, simplified for young players: good movement, balance, coordination and the joy of a good rally.
Slower, bigger balls on a smaller court. Children learn to track the ball, move and rally, and build confidence quickly.
Players start using the full swing, simple tactics and serving to start the point.
Players develop consistency, direction and their first real match play, ready to join the junior programme.
Each day mixes three things:
On-court training with games and drills from the Academy’s methodology.
Movement, coordination and agility games that build the athletic base every tennis player needs.
Fun match formats where children learn to play points, keep score, win well and lose well.
The week ends with the Golden Ball Mini Festival. Every child plays, families cheer and every player goes home with a medal and a certificate.
Our Academy is built on three values. In Golden Ball Minis, they are part of every game:
Trying your best on every ball.
For coaches, teammates, opponents and the court.
Being a little better today than yesterday.
These lessons go far beyond tennis.
Your child will train in small groups with coaches trained in the JC Ferrero methodology, in a safe, caring and international environment. Our aim is simple: a child who comes home tired, happy and asking, “Can I play again tomorrow?”
At the end of the week you’ll know what stage your child is at, what they achieved, and what to work on next.
